Great story threads and narration

The story followed a clear path with lots of dubious characters and twists. I enjoyed the narrator’s clear voice as she took us through the tale.

Good review of main character's life

I am a J.A. Jance addict and this is a very good book. I appreciated some Ali recap since I had forgotten some of her life and it was enjoyable to review during the story line.

I am really glad that the AI is sill alive:)

Interesting story, too much fluff

My first Jance book. Great plot, timely subject. The excruciatingly lame extraneous details, some quite silly, were hard to take. I listened to most of the book at 1.25 or 1.50.

Too. Much. Recap.

There was an unbelievable amount of recap. I know who Leland Brooks is! I know who Frigg is! I know the parents ran and a diner called the sugarloaf! I know what the B stands for in B Simpson! I know about the friend who was murdered! I know about the ex and how she got her money! I know about the scholarship program and why! I know about the cult rescue! I know whose sister Anslem is! Why are you telling me all this stuff that I have read in at least 8 other books? I'm done with the series now.
