Great story, great characters, great narration

I loved everything about this novel and I am thoroughly enjoying this series. I like the development of the characters and the fact that each book could be a stand alone book.

I'm really not sure how to rate this book. It starts off slowly but the plot is entertaining and well written.

Entertaining and narrator makes it come alive

Really excellent narrative makes this story come alive. She captured many different ages, ethnicities and genders so convincingly I forgot it was just one reader.

The story itself was very good, especially in its well-researched and authentic portrayal of the time. The author also portrayed Egyptian archaeology and the art market in a believable way. The characters were well-developed, too. At the same time, I found the overall plot to be predictable. I guessed the murderer from the beginning of the story.
