It demonstrates the need to maintain the traditional viewpoint, particularly on divine simplicity, and spotlights the unfortunate implications for other important Christian doctrines, such as divine eternality and the Trinity, if it were to be abandoned. Arguing carefully and cogently that all that is in God is God himself, the work is sure to stimulate debate on the issue in years to come.

very intriguing thought process

To tell the truth, I never had these thoughts explained to me before this book. I would ask about the trinity, and the answers were...well they never "showed their work". I was given analogies, which was well and good to say just how unified God is, but in the case of "three persons in one", it never made sense.

This is perhaps my first true theology book that was more on a metaphysic type than the ethical/virtue type. This is something I think I can return to and get great benefit.

a great look at an oft neglected Divine attribute

it's short enough I need to listen again to make sure I caught it all. a good cautionary to not lose sight of all that is in God
