Excellent book that speaks to my circumstances!

This book is very well written about what it’s like to be an exvangelical and what that means. Highly recommended if you consider yourself in that position or want to be able to understand someone else who is.

A Jesus centered way forward.

His call to Evagelical change and repentance points to roadblocks and opportunities. in other words a Jesus empowered faith that will repudiate Trumpism.

Gushee explores the many ways in which Evangelicalism has formed many of us and what it looks to reform our beliefs and lives after we find it inadequate in a variety of ways. Definite recommend.

Bold clarity

I loved this book!!!! I have followed this author's journey with the books he has written in past, they have taken me through my own deconstruction from Evangelicalism to the present. Given today's current events in the American political climate, this book helped tie it all together for me. I like how the author has divided each chapter with prelude and then ending with chapter "takeaways". I love how the book has established a chronological order of events and their effects.
