Whether you are skeptical of God's existence or seeking scientific support for your faith, The Creator and the Cosmos will enable you to see how the heavens do declare the glory of God (Ps. 19:1).
Hugh Ross (PhD, University of Toronto) is founder and president of Reasons to Believe (reasons.org). He is the author of many books, including Improbable Planet, Navigating Genesis, and Why the Universe Is the Way It Is. An astronomer and a member of the pastoral staff of a church near Caltech, Ross has addressed students and faculty on over 300 campuses in the United States and abroad on a wide variety of science-faith topics. I feel there is a place for science in faith and this book tries to find that balance. This is for the thinking Christian. The one who can look at the beauty of the nature and the cosmos and realize there is and has been worlds that the eyes of man will never see. And wonder WHY? I would say and I think Hugh Ross would also say, Because our God loves beauty and created beauty for His pleasure.
We have yet to understand all the natural world has to offer on this planet or how it all works together for life to exists. But yet, it does. While trying to understand and learn we can and should thank the God of creation and also learn of Him.
Heavy on Science...But then Didn't God Create it!
