Smoke Jensen was the last Mountain Man and the fastest gun in the west. But this time, Smoke is going to put his reputation to the test in the southern reaches of Mexico. When two Mexican Gunfighters, and old friends of Smoke Jensen, send a letter asking Smoke for help, he can't possibly say no. He quickly straps on his hog legs and heads down into the middle of a war. A crazy Mexican Bandito, that fancies himself the resurrection of Montezuma, has formed a vast and unstoppable army, and he marches across the land.

Anywhere he goes, death and pestilence follow. It will be up to Smoke and his two Gunfighter friends to try and stop the evil that has spread across the land. But even Smoke Jensen will be put to the test when he goes up against the legendary Jaguar warriors of times long since past.

Performed by Mort Shelby, James Lewis, Steven Carpenter, Joe Brack, David Coyne, Elizabeth Jernigan, Ren Casey, Thomas Penny, Nanette Savard, Tim Carlin, Dylan Lynch, Terence Aselford, Michael Glenn, Ken Jackson, Richard Rohan, Eric Messner.

Smoke Jensen does it again! Thanks to the Graphic Audio crew for porting the series over to Audible!

Come for the Wild West action and full voice cast, stay for the laughably awful accents and poop noises.

While the graphic audio crew did a spectacular performance I am disappointed in the book. The last couple, I can only imagine were written by ghost writers, were not following the previous books which anger me. When continuing any series, details are important! Eg., Smoke Jensen's eyes were previously portrayed as being coldly brown. Not grey. Big difference to this reader! Little things like that annoy series readers. (Yes, I'm new, still...) There were a couple of other errors in the script but again a great performance by graphic audio actors whom I dearly love to listen and graciously thank for bringing Johnstone's books to life for me and others!

This is another great book in the life of Smoke Jensen. In this book Smoke goes to Mexico to help a friend. There is a lot of Gunfighting in this one. Smoke's reputation scares some and others wants to kill him. This is a movie in your mind style of book. With several narrators. If my review is any help will you please click on the helpful link below. Thank you.

I enjoyed the story as I do most of this author’s books but the background sounds of dramatized books are so loud it’s hard to hear people talk

Good story
