When small-time con man Cal Carver is thrown in jail and forced to share a cell with a semi-naked, cannibalistic serial killer, he's pretty sure his day can't get any worse. Boy, is he wrong. The mission should be simple enough, but as one screwup leads to another the ragtag group of unwitting heroes find themselves in a frantic battle to save an entire alien civilization - and its god - from total annihilation.

They really knocked it out of the park with this one! Absolutely amazing job and a hilarious SciFi story to boot.

Hilarious!!

I own hundreds of audiobooks and I have listened to several litrpg and sci-fi series with a comedic lean. This series is by far the funniest I have ever heard. The voice acting in the dramatizations is amazing and really delivers the humor. As an experienced audiobook listener, I highly recommend this series to anyone that loved the early MCU phase one. You will get a distinctive Guardians of the Galaxy vibe.

Oh, and, yes. The series is over 10 years old (for the first book release) and, yes, as of book 6 the performance of the voice actors remains wonderful. I am going to purchase the rest of the series.

This is one of my favourite comedy sci-fi series

Audible, this is ridiculous!!! I just wanted to rate this book and not write a review. Having to write reviews in order to rate has prevented me from rating at all. I just want to give props to enjoyable reads . I will just copy and paste this "review" going forward.

fun story

love the dramatization of the story. Enjoyed it would recommend to anyone that likes sci-fi comedy genre.
