Very different story

This is not your typical Christmas story. It is clean and relevant. It does have a beautiful ending. But many parts of of the story are about a struggle and could make some people sad. I am a volunteer for a nonprofit called Compassion Prison Project. I understand how difficult it is -if not impossible for people that have a felony convection to leave prison and actually get a job and make a new life for themselves. Soooo many companies have a policy not to hire ex felons, there are even federal laws that prevent them from being truck drivers! How are they support themselves without work? There's very little reform in prison, deplorable conditions and 100% of them are suffering from terrible childhood traumas. I hope this beautiful story brings a poignant awareness of the reality. What Lena in the story was sent out of the prison with is more than than most prisoners receive-even after decades behind bars. Please consider looking into Compassion Prison Project, you can make a difference. They take trauma healing into prisons and ask for people to act as pen-friends to people who are incarcerated. They need funding, every little bit helps. I want to thank Melody Carlson for bringing attention to this commonly ignored and misunderstood problem!

This is got to be one of the very best Christmas story i have ever heard. ❤️ It is a must have for your library, I highly recommend it.

Great Christmas Story

I have this book on Kindle and have read it several times over the last few years. It touches several real life topics as they affect people’s lives but always with a realistic but positive outlook. Being able to listen on Audible has increased my enjoyment of this book and author even more.

EXCELLENT!

This might be one of my favorite Melody Carlson books. There was only one problem with it…I wanted it to go on and on!!! lol To top it off, the reader/narrator was PERFECT! Highly recommend!!!
