I really wish books like this would be read by Black performers. At the very least, I wish the reader knew how to properly pronounce cities like Abydos. Mispronouciations are super distracting.

This is a classic Black history study book. The performance does not do it justice

The read takes away from the content of the book

The scholarship is brilliant. Like a detective he goes through historical accounts by European archeologists and shows point by point how their innate racism has obscured their objectivity to the facts staring them right in their faces.

The author shows how they repeatedly contradict themselves, calling Ethiopians dark Caucasians when it suited them and Negroid when they wanted to make a point in the other direction.

A Must Read, Must Listen on the Truth of History.
