The story is mory a mystery than apocalyptic book. There are zombies and they definitely affect the characters but the humans are the real problem. It took the majority of the book to develop the characters together. It has been near a decade since the zombies appeared and the characters have adapted to life with the zombies on the Hawaiian islands. Then some of the villages were destroyed upsetting their balanced life.

This is not the typical Apocalypse Book

I’ve listen to a lot of zombie books and I will say that I really enjoyed this one. I liked the uniqueness of the setting, the characters were well developed, along with the storyline! I did get this with my included on audible but I am also looking forward to book to which I am willing to pay for. I listen to a ton of audio books.

Entertaining and unique

This second book was an interesting continuation of the first. Although it took quite a while for the story lines to converge. There were more than a few times when the details of the resolution of a conflict were missing and the reader was left to assume how characters arrived at their resolved situation. Some may appreciate these gaps in a lengthy book. I love the narrator! That is why I started this series. I rated this book well as I think this author will continue to craft increasingly enjoyable works.

an interesting storyline

This story's good and interesting.. The characters draw you in and keep your attention. The narrator is OK, Not too lively not too monotone. But every book ends in a cliff hanger does not make you want more just frustrate you.. If I get to a book and there isn't another into another one and it has a cliff hanger I doubt I'll revisit the series because of it

I enjoyed this story. Little difficult to keep track of who is who, but the characters were memorable. I enjoyed the interactions between characters, especially the siblings. It's nice how things are coming together and related.
