The influence of Aristotle, the prince of philosophers, on the intellectual history of the West is second to none. In this book, Jonathan Barnes examines Aristotle's scientific researches, his discoveries in logic and his metaphysical theories, his work in psychology and in ethics and politics, and his ideas about art and poetry, placing his teachings in their historical context.

Was very useful and encouraged exploration into other books of his. Lots of good ideas, and well explained.

The information contained in the audiobook was great, but the narrator was lacking unfortunately. He voice was just slightly grating. The books itself is. Great introduction to Aristotle and was exactly what I was looking for .

Great Book Moderate Storyteller

Sometimes too much credit, sometimes too little is given to Aristotle. But this is a matter of personal taste and subjective assessment.

These books are hit and miss. This one was surely a hit. Barnes is brilliant!

If you have never read Aristotle or some of his words, this will come across as hard to fathom. I thought the narrator was AI. I had to double check because his voice is very monotonous. There are better books on Aristotle, but if you want a brief review and you already know him, this would be good.

Stiff, bad narrator
