Decent. Not as good as the first and much better than the third.

The first book in fairly good. It focuses on the war and follows historical events from personal narratives. By the 3rd book there are only brief, disconnected, mentions mentions of any action or historical events. The 3rd is almost exclusively relationship drama and very dull.

Awesome!

This telling of the lives of the 3 main characters from the end of their military careers during WWII kept me interested in their non-wartime lives even though the level of action slowed. The characters roles in the Korean War and through marriage and children was very engaging.
