Volume One includes four full-length novels:

Ever Yours, Annabelle: As a girl, Annabelle Huxley chased Robert Conrad with reckless abandon, and he always rescued her when she pushed too far - until the accident that cost him everything.

The Madness of Viscount Atherbourne: Victoria Lacey's life is perfect-perfectly boring. Surely no one suspects her secret longing for head-spinning passion. Except a dark stranger, on a terrace, at a ball where she should not be kissing a man she has just met.

The Truth About Cads and Dukes: Painfully shy Jane Huxley is in a most precarious position, thanks to dissolute charmer Colin Lacey's deceitful wager. Now, his brother, the icy Duke of Blackmore, must make it right, even if it means marrying her himself.

Desperately Seeking a Scoundrel: Tortured and hunted by a brutal criminal, Lord Colin Lacey is rescued from death's door by the stubborn, fetching Sarah Battersby. In return, she asks one small favor: Pretend to be her fiance. With danger nipping his heels, he knows it is wrong to want her, wrong to agree to her terms. But when has Colin Lacey ever done the sensible thing?

Contains mature themes.

These books was so wonderful, but I have to say my favorite was the CAD book. The Duke and Jane were my absolute favorite. I would definitely recommend the boobs. The storyline click through all four books and continue beyond these four books. What annoys me is that people are putting down the narrator, if you can do this better than she could then by all means go ahead. It’s not an easy job. So let’s give credit where credit is due. If you don’t like narrations then just buy
a book and read it yourself. ..Stay bless everyone

These books were wonderful.

I like all but the viscount story. Spoiler: He’s controlling and cruel to her and at one point she blames a woman for completing suicide. I almost DNF’d but I’m glad I pushed thru. You could skip that one and the rest make sense. The narrator had a weird way of pronouncing words and is super slow.

Do not be put off by the narrator reviews.

The first book is not her best, BUT, I thought she might not have hit her stride and I am so glad I stayed with it. She is wonderful, her characters are fully realized, and even the male voices are believable. That is very hard for a female narrator.

The author is very good also, great humor, brilliant use of language/vocabulary , no fluff. I listened to all 9 books and will keep them in my listen again collection.
So sorry to see it end.

Don’t hesitate, listen

I loved getting four books within one title. There are two more after this. Can't wait for the next set. Great introduction to a new author that I haven't read before.

New Author to Me.

I think I like the story telling of the author, and when the narrator is reading dialogue her voices are acceptable. It is when she is reading description it is like an over wrought poetry slam. She whispers and fades goes to high notes to low. There is a sense of wailing and pain, ghosts moaning in the night, over something as mundane as a description of a bird flying across the sky. Some descriptions are ghost whispers and some are joy filled, and so much seems to have no relevance to what she is on the page. What results is a feeling that Mary Sarah is over- acting. Yet again her dialogue is not so over wrought. Her male voices seem acceptable as a male voice, her aunties and heroines are good and I don’t think she over acts dialogue. I wish the author would say something about the over abundance of special effects in the narration.
