The fight for survival continues.

Enemy forces have unleashed an EMP over the heartland of America, causing the power grid, transportation, and communications to fail.

Meanwhile, Houston, Texas, has been hit by a monster hurricane.

Amid the devastation, the battle for survival continues.

In the aftermath of the storm, reality sets in for Will Fontenot. Life as he knew it is over. He's battered and bruised from his previous battles but more determined than ever to escape Houston. There's no other choice. Houston is a powered keg ready to blow, and it's only a matter of time before the city falls.

When Will, Cayden, and Isabella are again drawn back into the enemy's plan for the nation's final destruction, they'll have to once again fight for their lives against seemingly insurmountable odds as insurgents unleash their attack on Houston.

Meanwhile, Will's sister, Savanah, must pull her community together to defeat the trouble lurking in her neighborhood. She'll be tested in ways she never dreamed possible in her fight to keep her children safe.

Finished book 2 and was curious to find out how Will found things in LA. Started book “3”, and I was like WHAT?? They decided to go to ARKANSAS instead? Kept listening and people are listed as dead, and I’m thinking…” who the heck is that?” (I’ve gotten to ch 10). Bunch of others things have happened but so t want to ruin it for anybody else. So I started reading the synopsis of book 4, which picks up where book 2 ends 🤨. Hope this helps so

This continuation to the Fall of Houston series is another, edge of your seat storyline. The author draws you in with stress, anger, love, and even hope. It is a must read in this series.

The story is okay, but these books are quite short for an Audible credit. The whole series should just be one or two audiobooks. After having listened to several of these types of books I find them to all be about the same. They follow the same plot but with different circumstances and characters.

Short books for a credit

This series is really good! I love how Payne can make you feel like you’re there going through it all, and boy do Will, Cayden and Isabella go through a lot!! Will sister, Savannah is dealing with trouble but not quite as extreme.

I’m looking forward to book three in this Fall of Houston series!!

Fantastic! Had Me On The Edge Of My Seat!

I've listened to many of T.L. Payne's books and have liked all of them. The narrator isn't terrible but I think a different narrator would have made me give a higher rating. I struggled to keep up all the new characters straight but I usually do other things while listening so it could be me tuning out at moments.
