I'm hooked !

Listen at night until drifting to sleep. Then I find the story continuing in my dreams. I can picture the story line as if it was really happening. I live in LA and particularly enjoy when streets and locations are mentioned that I know very well. This was my favorite so far on Audible and I have been listening to Harry for several years thru my public library. I will listen to Harry wherever I can find him. His voice just draws you in. Many more stories for Harry, please...

Fantastic Listen! Want more special editions.

I am a fan of the Amazon Prime show, and decided to start exploring the novels with all this new found time in the pandemic. What makes the character of Harry Bosch fantastic in the show is evident in the books that inspired it. I'm most definitely going to continue the series, but I wouldn't complain if Titus Welliver performs more of them. It makes the transition of TV Bosch to book Bosch that much easier.

Wide awake sober addiction

There's got to be a better word than addiction to describe the can't stop listening, thinking, and unstoppable draw to consume the words spoken by Titus Wellivet written by the hand and mind of Michael Connelly.

I'm not drawn to super heros, the magic of their feats conjured from alien powers or sudden onslaught of brute strength. Yet Connelly, through meticulous detail reveals in simple short but powerful phrasing the inner workings of Harry Bosch's thoughts unraveling a tangled 20 year old plot. I'm in Harry's head, slowing my own thinking, shortening my own speech, wanting to be more Harry like.

In short, what a first novel, heck, what a novel, what a great listen!
