Forsaken to be a killer and sent to be a destroyer, Sviska must choose his own path.

Sviska is a man of the shadows, an assassin without any one place to call his own. But in the Far North, he discovers a secret. Magic, long thought lost to the world, is alive. The genocide to destroy every elf, wizard, and sacred being of old is not yet complete. Sviska's masters work the strings of the world and he has been sent for a task he does not even fully understand yet. When at last he feels he has what he has always wanted, darkness falls upon the world.

Forced to rise up to face an enemy more terrible than any he has ever met, Sviska comes to a moral crossroad. The Rogues of Magic rise but will Sviska be the blade that unites them all or strikes those of magic from the world forever?

In this Tale of the Dwemhar trilogy, prepare yourself for a war that will bring about the gods of old, the remnants of the many races of magic, and follow a man in his journey to awaken that which sleeps deep within himself.

Contains the complete series (Books 1-3) of the Rogues of Magic.

I’ll begin with a note to any with a dislike for the series — there needs to be an awareness that this is not the first installment of the Dwehmar World. The previous books contain an extensive backstory. With that being stated, the Dwemhar World is reasonably complex and full of great characters. The narrator does a very good job and is quite engaging. This is a great series and I look forward to reading/listening to the others books.

Great Series: In depth backstory

It struggled to keep me engaged, I didn't identify with any of the characters as realistic, and by the 3rd book I was just listening so I could mark it "complete". it may be better if it really grabbed me in the first part of the first book, but I never had any "I can't wait until I can listen to more" moment because it didn't do so at the start. Narration was great, Tim Gerard Reynolds is always amazing, but I wish the story had captured my attention up front so I could really enjoy it.

Not horrible, but also not good

there’s a lot going on in a very short period of time and 0 backstory until many many hours later.

Tries to make leaps before it crawls.

did not find anything to complain over. I enjoyed it very much and will seek oth3rs like it.

voices providing character and personality to story

Disappointing. Great start that doesn’t develop characters. No explanation of “why” to who is bad or good. Just a lot of bad who need to be killed and long descriptions of buildings, wildlife and battles. Rare glimpse into anything like a relationship with no idea of why anyone would like them in the first place. Shallow and irrational. Won’t be getting more in this series

Not too interesting
