Politicians wife with insecurities

Am I the Only One is about Carly’s insecurities and impulsive behavior. Her husband William is running for governor as a politician’s wife it’s her duty to support him. She knew this when she married him. In the beginning of their marriage, they were the power couple of Georgetown. They had an unbreakable love until he began to spend more time away from home. She had her career as a counselor and therapist, but the distance was causing insecurities to surface.
Carly wanted out of her marriage, but she signed a prenup. She found a loophole to get herself out using her husbands infidelity as a means to get back what she put into the marriage. First she had to catch him in the act. That’s where Emma comes into play. Emma is Carly’s patient.
What unfolds is a deviant plan of secrets, lies, and betrayal.
Told from both Emma and Carly’s points of view between the past the present. EK Blair blew me away with her writing voice in this one. The twists, the turns, and the unpredictable reactions was an intense read. Even the supporting cast of characters pulled at at my heartstrings especially Matthew’s character. Every character introduced played a key role in molding the lives of main characters. I’m impressed by EK Blair’s mad writing skills and a little scared with her deviant mind. It’s a delicious read that I devoured.

Audiobook:
Ava Erickson is the solo performing narrator of Am I The Only One. This is an 8 hour unabridged copy. Ava is a narrator of romance and erotic audiobooks.
She’s an Audie Nominated Producer and narrator. I listened at 1.7x speed reducing the listening time by a smidge.
For a solo narration Ava delivered a good performance. Although, since this book had two points of view it would’ve benefitted listeners to have separate narrators as it was difficult to differentiate between the two. Ava didn’t change her voice enough for me to be to identify which character was speaking. I strongly recommend investing in the ebook and following along.

This surpassed all my expectations. I cannot say enough about this twisted storyline and how it draws you in. Found every excuse possible to listen. Wouldn’t change a thing!

I was sucked in from the beginning and couldn’t put it down. My heart pounded throughout the book and I even cried many times. This is my favorite kind of book one that keeps you on the edge. I was weary at first with all the great reviews since the sample seemed boring but after the second chapter I was done for and couldn’t turn it off. I would have loved a better ending because it has left me wanting to know more needing more! I also love the narrator Ava and love listening to her narration. The fact she played several characters was awesome and I could clearly distinguish the differences which made it more intense with the edge of your seat feeling! Thank you for a great listen!!
