Maya and Grady sizzle

Paths. Book 2 in the Killers series doesn’t disappoint. I’m glad I spent the credit. Typically I listen to a lot of the free “included” Audible titles and the sneaky folks at Audible put book one in this series out as a freebie and I was hooked.

Romance novels are an okay break from my favorite genre, paranormal fiction, sci-Fi and other escapism listens. Most of the “included for free” Audible romance novels are predictable and more than a little flat.

This is an action packed, fast paced suspense-romance. Brynne Asher keeps you hooked with her characters and her incredible storylines. You can rarely, if ever, guess what’s coming next in her writing. She’s clever and her Killer book series is not simply one cookie cutter plot style, bullet point and boring romance with the main characters names changed from book to book.
I do love how she keeps folding the characters from previous books back into the mix so you begin to get a sense of continuity and family.
There’s plenty of humor in these books. The Ranch and its residents are a hoot.
You will find yourself thinking while listening…. “nooooooo, don’t <insert scary situation here>” as the plot thickens and danger is popping up from every turn.
The sex is anything but boring. Grady is tender and sweet and a bit Alpha make protective, but he’s earned the right to be that way. Maya is no shrinking violet. Previous reviewers said the felt she was spineless and whiny. Ummmm, no.
I’d call her careful. As a woman on the run trying to not attract attention, she’s written in perfectly.
She gets tapping into her true personality pretty early on in the book.

I’m glad I spent the credit. I’ve already bought book 3

Kit Swann and Jason Clarke are fabulous. They share a great chemistry and they seem to be really settling into these books and characters. They have an easy way of drawing you into the story and they fade into the background as all great narrators should.

Excellent series. I’m glad I stumbled across it.

⭐️⭐️Another Great in This Series ⭐️⭐️

I've personally found that the first book in a series is my favorite, but Book 2 is definitely up there. I feel the commingling of characters from the first, along with two strong leading characters in book 2 made it even better. However, this book could certainly stand on its own spectacularly. Great narration and the perfect amount of 🔥 made it a must read! Now onto book 3! ⚡️

definitely like this one better than the first. I also enjoy that crew and Addie were in this book as well.

Great 2nd book

Love the characters the female lead actually has a back bone. I wish she would have told her mom to F off more tho!
