At 12.16 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 1968, Senator Robert F. Kennedy was shot and mortally wounded in the service pantry of the Ambassador Hotel, Los Angeles. A 24-year-old Palestinian immigrant, Sirhan Bishara Sirhan, was found holding the smoking gun and convicted of murder. That is the official history - but Tim Tate and Brad Johnson have uncovered a different story.

After 25 years spent scrutinising over 100,000 official documents and previously unknown recordings, and conducting new interviews with key figures, they show that Sirhan could not have fired the fatal bullets - and reveal evidence of a murderous conspiracy involving organised crime and the CIA....

I was mesmerized by this story. It was an astonishing conspiracy presented with remarkable clarity -- so many clear details, yet no unfounded certainty.

Straightforward, yet Fascinating Tale

Half the book was interesting investigative facts that warrant a new investigation. However the other half is incessant kissing of RFK hind quarters. Let's not forget that RFK helped fix his brother's election, cheated on his wife, probably silenced Marilyn Monroe after sleeping with her, spyed on many an American citizen, and plotted to kill foreign leaders. He is guilty of almost every thing his daughter accused George Bush of in the last chapter of the book. Had he become president we would have gotten the same thing we got with Carter, Clinton and Obama. Bad economy, weak foreign policy and illegals pouring over the border.

Half Ok

Very interesting and well researched book. Certainly makes you wonder about so many aspects of the RFK assassination. However story is almost ruined by the TERRIBLE narration. Narrator has a terrible habit of pronouncing Los Angeles as Los Angelees, thorough as thura and many other mispronunciations. Also tries to read direct quotes in the “accents” of the person he is quoting. His accents are insulting and on the verge of racism. Just disgusting that this was allowed to happen.

Good story terrible narration

Too much time spent telling us how great RFK was. The what if’s with regard to a world where this assassination didn’t happen, are juvenile and reduce the real story of this book. The discussions of policy and politics are filler that ultimately detracts from the extremely troubling reality that the fix was in to frame Sirhan Sirhan.

The LA police, the intelligence community, the judiciary and media all went along with a story that was proven to be incorrect less than 48 hours less than 48 hours after RFK’s murder.

A man is sitting in jail who clearly did not kill RFK, and very well may have been set up as the patsy.

We are seeing in the present day how vast the power of the government and the intelligence community is, and how these institutions are above the law. These forces have been at work since the early 60’s, as evidenced by the Kennedy murders.

Many Flaws, Still 5 Star

The one problem I’ve always had with the Robert Kennedy, assassination conspiracy, is the fact that the decision to take him through the kitchen was done at the very last second. Subsequently, I don’t know how they would’ve had individuals in the kitchen area where he was fatally wounded. Maybe some other readers can expound on this.

I believe there was some conspiracy, just how well organized I’m not sure we’ll ever know.

Great and in depth research!
