A Necromunda novel

With a Guilder armoury looted, and the culprit racing downhive in a mining hauler bristling with stolen weaponry, Kal Jerico chases the bounty...but with a prize like this, every other Venator worth the name will be after it too.

Listen to it because

Kal Jerico is back! Delve into the underhive with the most outrageous (and lucky) bounty hunter on Necromunda, as he fends off all the threats Hive Primus has to offer.

The story

Kal Jerico returns to Hive Primus, chasing his biggest bounty yet: the maniacal preacher Desolation Zoon, racing downhive in a mining hauler bristling with stolen Guilder weaponry...but with a prize like this at stake, every other Venator worth the name will be hunting down the Redemptionist. Can Kal claim Zoon’s head, or will he find a rival’s knife in his back?

A common concern you tend to see in any long running franchise when a new writer is assigned to a write new stories for a well known "legacy" character because of the new writer might drastically alter their personality/backstory for no clear rhyme or reason. Even some of Black Library's most famous authors are guilty of this.
Josh Reynolds, thankfully, is not one of these authors. He takes the characters created by William McDermott & Gordon Rennie and not only treats them with due respect in the d
story but introduces them to the uninitiated that makes the reader wanting more by the end of it.
Mark Elstob's brilliant performance is icing on the cake. Would recommend to veteran fans of Necromunda or people who know nothing about Warhammer 40000.

An excellent addition in the Kal Jerico series

Very nice story, great and likeable characters, well written story, and the reading was really good.
Even tho he makes terrible female voices, i find them really charming.
I would recommend.

Nice.

A good story eith alot of background for necromunda. However, the narrator reslly needs to work with a team. He makes almost all the carracters sounds like elderly British citizens. He reads well, but it becomes irritating listening to a bunch of geriatric Brittons.

Good story but narrator...ouch

The story is typical #GamesWorkshop/#BlackLibrary fare. Better than most, not great tho.

Biggest Minus- The Narrator seem'd to have run outta female voices past co-main character Yolanda. The rest of the female voices are a constant cringe. I'm good at rollin with it but fair warning!

Kal Jerico's swashbuckling, *scruffy looking nerf herder* type traits seem'd to have been somewhat forgotten, late in the book, but the action more than made up for it.

A nice Underhive *roadtrip* story, interspersed with plenty of action & character interactions. The roll call of Bounty Hunters was a boon, too.

I liked it, enough to demand a sequel
