A novel about a shattered family, broken hearts, and healing love by Rachel Van Dyken, the number one New York Times bestselling author of Stealing Her.

Coming out of a coma was one hell of a wake-up call. While I was in the dark, my estranged twin brother, Bridge, had replaced me in the company I owned and swept up my fiancée in the takeover. With my ruthless reputation, can I blame them for falling in love? I have to look long and hard at where I've been and where I’m headed. Alone time? The universe has other plans.

Our family's secluded Vermont cabin comes with a gorgeous - if at first, unwelcoming - surprise. She’s renter Keaton Westbrook, a social media superstar struggling with her own private grief. As a winter storm bears down, we've found something to keep us warm - an intimacy neither of us expected and both of us need.

After we say goodbye, what happens then? Keaton and I are longing to reconcile with our painful pasts. I can't bear to do it without her. Is it too much to ask of fate to give us a second chance at life and love?

So. Good! Not sure if I liked this more than the first book or just as much 🤷‍♀️ It's definitely more depressing but also redeeming for the younger twin.

Loved this!

I didn’t think I’ll like Julian as much as I thought I would and Keaton is such a doll! I truly dig how emotional this story is and also, how steamy the romance also can be. Something about knowing someone down to the inner core of the soul and accepting him/her or even, themselves. The “don’t care” how the world thinks of them but how they need to think for themselves to get healthy again, to be free again, to ‘LIVE’ again is beautifully done. The pain is real but healing is as much...as real, too. Rachel Van Dyken never fails to surprise me! This is enjoyable! I think it’s best, though, to read the 1st book to comprehend about the 2nd book in this series!

Worth the fight...for love!

Julian and Keaton’s forced proximity story of shared grief has a very different tone than the first book in the series which featured Julian’s twin Bridge. I would never have imagined the arrogant, narcissistic, workaholic as anything other than evil but Van Dyken managed to not only redeem Julian, but turn him into an emotionally sensitive hero I could fall in love with. At first he’s snarky and dismissive of the stranger he finds in his luxury cabin but both Julian and Keaton recognize a grieving heart when they see one. Their forced proximity isolation leads to an emotional connection that drives both characters to change the trajectory of their lives, though the road is filled with pitfalls and their individual fears of loneliness are quite painful to reveal. I liked Julian’s determination to become a man his deceased mother would be proud of. I liked Keaton’s painful journey in recounting the story of Noah, the brave cancer patient she fell in love with. The story is both witty, sexy, and life affirming as well as poignant thanks to the beautiful narration performances of CJ Bloom and the late Brian Pallino who were perfectly cast in their roles of Keaton and Julian.

Julian IS redeemable and the narration performances are awesome!

I was not a Julian fan at all
I did not like his attitude or personality in Stealing Her
I felt his reasons did not excuse his actions

But in Finding Him he redeems himself and shows a different side and you begin to understand this complicated confused young boy in a mans body just looking for someone to love him.

Redemption
