outstanding horror gem

it shattered my expectations of how these sorts of stories end. well crafted with great pacing. I'll be grief so not to spoil. fans of Stephen King need listen and review to bring up lesser known authors. its really that good

Good story!

I really liked the story. The narrator was good, but when he would do Hesters part it was hard to understand him at times, but other than that he was a good narrator.

It’s ok

The flow of conversation is good between characters and the hook is nice in the beginning but that’s about it. It kinda flops at the end and doesn’t give you much detail on the main antagonist (not the girl the other thing trying not to spoil it). It kills off characters that I kinda forgot existed until the end and was a little boring. Overall, meh.

Great post-pandemic folk horror

This was a surprisingly entertaining discovery. Fun horror that mixes medieval themes with modern ones, relatable protagonists and some wonderfully descriptive gore. The narration was quite effective.

Held my interest

All very good. I enjoyed the historical element very much and the interplay of its current time
