A Warhammer 40,000 audio drama collection.

The Imperial Guard represent the very best of mankind - its indomitable spirit, ordinary men and women refusing to give up in the face of all the horrors of the galaxy.

Listen to it because: In this collection, you'll discover seven tales of the heroes of the Astra Militarum, from stalwart Elysian Sergeant Zachariah to the larger-than-life Commissar Cain.

The story: Across the war-torn galaxy, the Imperial Guard are a bastion against the enemies of mankind. From the elite veteran drop troops of Elysia to the fierce Catachan jungle fighters and from Valhalla's ice warriors to the crews of mighty battle tanks, the many regiments of the Astra Militarum defend the Emperor's realm against all who would tear it asunder. This audio drama anthology contains seven tales of the brave soldiers of the Astra Militarum. A three-part story delves into intrigue surrounding Sergeant Zachariah of Elysia as he faces traitors. Two outrageous adventures of the infamous Commissar Ciaphas Cain, Hero of the Imperium, take him and his warriors into danger after danger. A tank crew faces terror in real time, and Catachan Colonel Straken faces cultists on a jungle world.

I feel like the overall package is superb, and it is indeed worth the listen, especially if you're even a little curious about what it would feel like to be an imperial guardsmen.

really bloody good

I truly enjoyed this book because it offered me, a relatively new listener a valuable insight into other authors that write about the 40K universe, besides stories about my favorite 40K Commissar!

Out of this world adventure!!

The Elysian Trilogy is absolutely brilliant , as are the Cain shorts . Absolute musts for Guard enthusiasts !!
Titan's Bane is nice , albeit a bit cliché for 40K and lacks any major twists , performance isn't the best either but still solid .
Waiting Death is perhaps the least interesting Story of the lot despite having a twist and great performance due to Catachans just not being interesting to follow .

A must for all Guard lovers !
