The New Evil also presents compelling evidence that, since a cultural tipping-point in the 1960s, certain types of violent crime have emerged that in earlier decades never or very rarely occurred. 

The authors examine the biological and psychiatric factors behind serial killing, serial rape, torture, mass and spree murders, and other severe forms of violence. They persuasively argue that, in at least some cases, a collapse of moral faculties contributes to the commission of such heinous crimes, such that "evil" should be considered not only a valid area of inquiry, but, in our current cultural climate, an imperative one. They consider the effects of new technologies and sociological, cultural, and historical factors since the 1960s that may have set the stage for "the new evil."

Vignettes exposing horrorific human behavior and a detailed analysis of disturbed individuals. This is a very graphic novel that exposes the unusual traits of humans which most will never experience, but the information is priceless. get this audible.

Vignettes are amazing

this is one of the best books I have ever read. The stories are real, the vignettes are unscripted. This is just what I have been looking for. LOVED everything about this book. The explanation and reasoning was superb. This book is not for the faint of heart. It describes real torture and killings. a fascinating read.

Most Evil show in audio form

This book is basically the Most Evil show in audio book format. If you have seen the show and enjoyed that then you will like this. If you have not seen the show you can list to his book and the previous one from Dr. Michael Stone . Great book but would like to hear about cases not already included in the show. Looking forward to seeing any of his future work.

Awesome follow up to original book.

This book is better than his first book I absolutely love the detail he goes into with some of these topics. This subject interests my mind could listen to this book and did all the way through in a day. good book if youre interested I. this kinda thing.

Another example of evil among us.

Chapter after chapter of events that will make you cringe. Prisons are filled with these monsters. Both male and female. Many examples of actual cases should, and did, make you gag, cringe and even shed tear; I did. Remember, Evil is amongst us. Great voice and the topic, out of this world.
