Definitely keeps you thinking!

I really enjoyed this book, it did a great job of depicting a police officers entire career in a ferry digestible, but riveting way!

Great book!

The stories were really interesting and the entire thing was made better by the narrator. I'm glad I took a gamble and got this book. I couldn't stop listening.

Pertinent to Today

This should be required reading before people scream to defund police. I’m not saying it will change their mind, just make them a little more informed.

Accurate

There is a wealth of relatable detail in this book regardless what department you serve with.

Give it a few chapters.

I enjoyed the stories and the writing. The narration felt a little dry and rigid at first, but after sticking with it a few chapters the voice grew on me and I could hear subtle emotions like deadpan humor coming through. It was worth getting used to the style to hear the rest once the narration clicked on with me.
