This is the continuing story of the Mud Island survivors. Their knowledge of a secret network of survivalists who constructed super-shelters has helped them to survive the infection. Together with a small force of dedicated United States Army soldiers, they undertake a dangerous excursion into the infected city of Columbus, Ohio. Their goal is to eliminate as many of the infected as they can while the city is in the grips of a severe winter, but in the process they hope to locate the President's shelter. If he is alive, they can begin to rebuild the country and bring the infection to an end.

The characters, and how this story felt more plausible.

Like, I bought every book I could find in this series! I can’t wait to hear more about Chief, my favorite character in this series.

Still good but this one kinda dragged a bit. Good story and characters so definitely a good read.

Another great book

Story get better every book! Characters are relatable, and reality as well as common sense are prevalent in the storyline. great read, and narrator is really good!

ALWAYS AN ENJOYABLE STORY LINE

This is my 3rd time listening to the series. One of my all time favorites. Original idea and excellent storyline! AAAA+++++

Is okay story

I wasn’t very interested in the POTUS angle. Or in the crew of Executive one. That could have been a stand alone story.
Over all it was okay. But I liked the earlier ones better.
Still looking forward to the next book though.
