Visual and dull

There was no reason for such a short book to feel so interminable. I think HG Wells was a lackluster author and an extraordinary idea-man. His concepts are captivating and often chilling; he's just the wrong person to write about them.

On the plus side, this novel is visual throughout and the narration is fantastic.

The Narrator was AMAZING

best way to "read" a classic novel. the Narrator made it entertaining to listen to. his different character voices were very distinct.

Love a classic

I love this story. It wAs great the way he changed his voice to. Details he let you know about the creatures.

Not How I Pictured It

But when is a classic book ever what one imagines it when one only has cursory knowledge of it? Well done narration, and intriguing exploration of then-cutting edge science.

Science Fiction That Is Now Really Bad Impossible Science

The narration was really good. I truly enjoyed listening to it. The narrator cannot be blamed for the manuscript.



Sadly Dated

This is a standalone as far as I can tell. Moreau is a dark and twisted scientist who had no boundaries in any way. He experimented unchecked by any morality or even sanity. They say that brilliance is the edge of madness. Will he (the storyteller ) ever be able to get back to actual society? Or will he be trapped forever on this mad island?

***For people who like nostalgia and can think alternate history instead of just bad science :)
