The stunning, critically-acclaimed follow-up to best-selling The Quantum Magician

The Ultimate Chase

Days ago, Belisarius pulled off the most audacious con job in history. He's rich, he's back with the love of his life, and best of all, he has the Time Gates, arguably the most valuable things in existence. Nothing could spoil this...except the utter destruction of his people and the world they lived on.

To save them, he has to make a new deal with the boss he just double-crossed, to travel back in time and work his quantum magic once again, tracking down the source of the wormholes.

If he can avoid detection, dodge paradox, and stay ahead of the eerie, relentless Scarecrow, he might just get back to his own time alive.

Prepare to be blown away. These books redefine what sci-fi can be. The depth of story telling and thought are simply 10 times better than they need to be. And T. Ryder Smith??? He has redefined story telling. I would follow him to the ends of the earth. I have my favorite narrators and he is so far beyond the best it’s scary. I thought the best of sci-fi was over and these books have set a new bar.

These books are so good and so deep that they you will want to listen over and over again. This was a first for me. I immediately listened to the first book a second time to absorb so much more meaning. They are fast paced, detailed, freaky, deep, layered, mysterious, and enthralling.

Be prepared to be blown away and quickly left behind. They will push you to the brink of understanding on many levels. Not for the faint of IQ... Good luck...

Sci-fi on Another Level

I enjoyed the first book and the second book was almost better. I liked hearing his quantum intellect take over and how raw information came into understanding. I look forward to other books in this series.

Intriguing

As others have said, so many sequels seem to be written by an author that appears to just want the series to be over. NOT written as well as the original. This is not one of those. The only negative I can say about this is that a bit less explaining what passed in book 1 would have been nice. I understand, some readers might not have read book 1, or they read it a long time ago, but frankly, those people lose out. Kunsken is now one of my favorite authors, based on this and the Magician. I didn't think Smith was that great a reader also in Book 1, but by the middle of the listen, I decided he was perfect.
Now I have to hope that he writes some more books like this one. GREAT book!

beter than the first book

it really left me wanting more. if you have not read the first book in the series you really need to start there. this is not a series to read out of order

I am thinking there must be a book 3, at least I am hoping so. Book 2 is good and I would recommend highly. I feel like book 1 gave me more but book 2 was still good. Looking for 3 and then 4 and 5..

Me like.
