The highly anticipated sequel to A Demon in Silver, The Hangman's Gate continues the epic saga of the War of the Archons.

After uniting the bandit clans, the Iron Tusk has swept into Shengen and taken control of the empire. With an army behind him, he marches along the Skull Road, ready to lay waste to the lands in the west. The rag-tag defenders of Dunrun are all that stand in his way. With their country besieged on all sides, troubling rumors of a priestess amassing power in the North, and unnatural alliances to the south, no help is coming. Alone, they must hold back the god-like powers of the Iron Tusk, or see life as they know it come to an end.

It was highly entertaining! You felt like you knew the characters by the time you were done with the story. I highly recommend it.

It was an extremely good book, and it was very well read.

I don't know it's really strange, I like this one, I liked it as a continuation from part one. I'm not sure how I feel about the story still, once again, its definitely entertaining and leaves me wondering what is going to happen next.

Ok maybe not that bad but the story constantly stalls to flash back to how a character got where they meet up with other characters. This happens several times and it's a bit jarring to the flow of the story. Once or twice would be ok but it seems to happen over and over again in book one and two.
