Publisher's summary

From the New York Times best-selling author of All the Missing Girls and The Perfect Stranger comes a captivating thriller about two teens who connect when each discovers a mysterious radio frequency that suggests their family tragedies are mysteriously connected.

After surviving an infamous family tragedy, 16-year-old Kennedy Jones has made it her mission to keep her brother's search through the cosmos alive. But then something disturbs the frequency on his radio telescope - a pattern registering where no signal should transmit.

In a neighboring county, 17-year-old Nolan Chandler is determined to find out what really happened to his brother, who disappeared the day after Nolan had an eerie premonition. There hasn't been a single lead for two years, until Nolan picks up an odd signal - a pattern coming from his brother's bedroom.

Drawn together by these strange signals - and their family tragedies - Kennedy and Nolan search for the origin of the mysterious frequency. But the more they uncover, the more they believe everything's connected - even their pasts - as it appears the signal is meant for them alone, sharing a message only they can understand.

Is something coming for them? Or is the frequency warning them about something that's already here?

Critic reviews

"Miranda (All the Missing Girls, 2016) has created a compelling pair of protagonists, filled with heartfelt angst and relentless tenacity. Her latest book for young adults ages the kids from Stranger Things and puts them in Gillian Flynn’s Dark Places for a smart, dark, and ultimately hopeful story of the power of belief." (Booklist, starred review)

"Miranda's exploration of how grief transforms us is realistic and sensitively drawn.... Eerie and emotionally resonant." (Kirkus)

"Miranda weaves a convincing tale of teens grasping at straws to make sense of personal tragedies." (PW)

I wish I could give this a higher Rating but....

I overall liked the book. but it dragged on and on with not alot of thrills or action which is the reason I got this book in the first place it is marked as a thriller is it not? it was more of a mystery/drama. It took me almost 4 months to listen to the whole book. when in contrast when I listen to a book that really grabs my attention
I could finish the story within the week and I don't just listen to it when I'm driving like I did with this book. I hate to talk negative about book that someone poured their heart and soul into to make but it wasn't the worst story. I just wish it was a bit shorter.

Outstanding

I don’t even remember how this book ended up in my library (Deal of the Day? I saw a good review and bought it a while ago?) In any event, I’m so glad it was there this morning when I was looking for something to read. What an excellent story! What great characters! What a super sense of place, superb pacing, excitement, suspense, and more. I quite literally couldn’t put it down – and this on a day when I had a whole lot of other things I needed to be doing. It was just that good. I haven’t heard of this writer before but I will definitely look for more works.

The female narrator took a little getting used to but in the end she really clicked for me. The male narrator was awesome from the start and just got better. Can’t say enough great things about the story or the readers. Highly recommended!

Surprisingly so good

I was hesitant after reading reviews, even when I started, I considered stopping soooooo many times for fear that the book was headed in a sci fi angle.

But I was hooked & had to keep listening… soooooo glad I did!

What an incredible journey!

Keeps you listening

Loved the Performance, storyline keeps you guessing. Might be directed at YA audience, but is not immature writing.

Fast Paced Youth Novel

I probably could've read it quicker than what I listed to it, but that's usually the case for all audiobooks.

I hate this ping pong style writing that seems so popular right now; with each chapter bouncing between a character. I feel as if the books just don't flow as well. this book is in that style, with each chapter being from a different character's point of view.

It borders on sci-fi but never into the realm of unbelievable for those who don't care for that genre. The author did a good job of tying all the pieces together in a way that was believable and makes you think of all the strange coincidences in your life.

This was definitely a youth novel. I feel like it was similar to books I read in middle school. Same level and style.

Totally different from Megan’s other books!

I absolutely love Megan Miranda but I often feel like all her books feel exactly the same. Same types of characters and similar plots etc... Come Find Me is so different from her other books (so much so that more than once I checked to make sure it really was the same author). However she did such a great job with this story and it held my attention! Definitely one of my favorites!

Not like Stranger Things at all.

I am honestly shocked I finished this book. It was seriously hurt by the Stranger Things comparison. It was nothing like that. It was a lot of talking and a lot of research and a lot blah. Very little action, zero horror or fear factor. And next to no paranormal/psychic aspect.

Overall, the story wasn’t awful, but my expectations were so high, it was hard for the book to get near it. The mystery was...ok. I did want to see how it all played out, but it wasn’t that hard to figure out. The characters were likable enough. There was a lot that was hard to believe/swallow, so be prepared to just listen, not really think.

I will say, I loved the narrators. Definitely checking out the male narrator now.
