Resumen del Editor

Imagine living 6,000 years ago in Mesopotamia after escaping from Egypt to be part of an experiment called "a city" that has been replicated since millions of times. The backbone of Sumerian culture was relatively modern agricultural techniques that freed up people's time, allowing for education, classism, government, and surplus. The region of Mesopotamia thrived for nearly 2,000 years before being conquered by Cyrus the Great and made part of the Persian Empire. During this period, a small tribe of an unknown amount of Jews survived in the Levant for about 2,500 years before Mesopotamia was conquered by Alexander the Great in 330 B.C., and as a result of climatic change, disease, migration, and war, about 700 Jews still survived in the area under nomadic conditions before it was conquered by the Roman Empire in 115 A.D. The group was divided, and 330 Ashkenazi Jews made their way into Southern Europe and spread throughout the entire continent by 1,000 A.D. As they migrated, they rarely reared children with non-Jews for many reasons, i.e., discrimination, culture, and religion. Finally, they made their home in the Rhineland in Western Germany, and as they found safety there temporarily, their numbers and genetic diversity began to flourish. Today, these 330 original Ashkenazi Jews have more than 11 million descendants throughout the globe and nearly half of all Jews worldwide have Ashkenazi DNA, whether they practice Judaism or are a Jew by birth. This is the remarkable story of a small tribe of slaves that was separated, persecuted, shunned, and mistreated for nearly 6,000 years in their homeland, migratory lands, and their new lands. It's a tale of sorrow, murder, and triumph, and the perseverance of these individuals and their genetic success is a testament to being alive and surviving against all odds. It's a story that is not only inspiring but one that shows a high level of adaptation and prowess on behalf of the Ashkenazi people in combination with offering clear evidence of why Jews have the right to have a home, i.e., Israel and to protect their homeland against aggressive neighbors and terrorists. Jewish history shows that without a homeland; Jews are treated as slaves, unable to worship, and have genocidal acts committed against them. The Jews have learned from their history, and they are correct in remembering it and defending what their ancestors, the original 330 people, fought for without question.
