Er war Theologe, Priester, Augustiner-Chorherr, Philologe und Autor. Er schrieb vor allem theologische Schriften in lateinischer Sprache. Regie: Julius Flach. Walter Jens (1923-2013) war ein deutscher Altphilologe, Literaturhistoriker, Schriftsteller, Kritiker und Übersetzer. Er war Ordinarius für Rhetorik an der Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen, Präsident des PEN-Zentrums Deutschland und Präsident der Akademie der Künste zu Berlin.
