Publisher's summary

Robert Kiyosaki's new audiobook 8 Lessons in Military Leadership for Entrepreneurs draws from his years at the Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point and his service in the United Sates Marine Corps. With compelling stories and examples and an engaging way of comparing and contrasting two very different cultures and value systems, Robert shares the challenges he faced in transitioning to civilian life: where chain of command and team-over-self - once so black and white - were muddy and distorted. "Permission to speak freely, sir?" Count on it. This is Robert Kiyosaki - and he does just that, in the forthright and no-nonsense style that listeners have come to expect and appreciate.

From Robert's perspective, military training shapes lives and supports entrepreneurship. The training, discipline, and leadership skills taught in the military can be leveraged for huge success in the civilian world of business.

Highlights of 8 Lessons in Military Leadership for Entrepreneurs include sections on Mission and Team, Discipline, Respect, Authority, Speed, the Power of Connectivity, Leaders as Teachers, and Sales and Leadership.

Great book for this civilian

I think Robert Kiyosaki has a gift for storytelling and inspiring. He discusses how important leadership is in the military and in a war zone, and draws parallels to the adversity entrepreneurs face in business. I myself having absolutely no experience in the military got a better idea of the benefits one might get from having the disciplene of a marine. But more than that he discusses the qualities that he had found inspiring in his leaders, and to some extent how to inspire others in life and in business.
Unfortunately it sounds like it's read by a robot, but you get used to that after the first few chapters.

Brilliant

by far the best book on audible. This book really hit home as veteran. I know have been able to see things from my military experience with new light. I am sure this will be the audible book I listen to more than once. The book was a little difficult to handle with the performance but after the first chapter I was able to get past the tone and voice and really get the guts of what was being said.

Somewhat different from other books but good

Finally something not repeated from other books and it offers new insights (compared to other of his books) to leadership.

Excellent book!

I found this book relatable; I grew up military and later became a military spouse. I'm an entrepreneur, so this book gave voice to my struggles as a civilian employee. This book gave me direction for my business and how I want them to grow.
