85400 is the new ‘24/7’ of a purpose-driven life! I took the journey from time management to purpose management and feel like I not only have more time each day, but more meaning.” (Cynthia Cooper, WNBA hall-of-famer, head coach of UNC Wilmington women’s basketball)

Be Aware: Christian-centred Content

Somehow, in the preamble to this book, I missed that the word "God" was a euphemism for the fundamentalist, born-again Christian God, and not the generic God that many books use to cover any one of a zillion belief systems for which wisdom can be found and applied. Within the first few minutes, the Christ-centred living tenet came up, and I knew this was a fundo manifesto. I turned it off. Somehow, I missed that this audio book has the born-again Christian agenda, and whilst this might appeal to some and be exactly what they are looking for, it's not for me, and if this type of Christian-centric content is not what you are after either, then avoid this book. It's just a pity that the introductory editorial blurb does not make it clear enough that this book is about being a good follower of Jesus and living your purpose for Jesus. Had I known this, I would not have purchased it.

86400: A Christian-Based Guide to Living with Purpose

86400 is an amazing and inspiring book that challenges readers to break free from the monotony of daily life and embrace the precious gift of time. Drawing from her experiences and those of notable Christians, Lavaille Lavette beautifully illustrates how every second of the day, all 86,400 of them, is a divine gift meant for purposeful living. This Christian-based book encourages readers to shift from merely "getting by" to actively "getting going," living each day with intention and relevance as God intended. It's a powerful reminder to make the most of every moment and fulfill our God-given purpose.

A Huge Disappointment

Incoherent fundamentalist blather couched in the quasi-respectable disguise of the motivational and/or organizational genres. Heavily peppered with Bible verses we've all heard at least 1,354,850 times, this book is the original Bridge to Nowhere, with some very special self-congratulatory back-slapping generously administered by the author, who is about as inspiring as a quiescently frozen mud puddle on a city street in early February. I can't even finish it, it's so dull and pointless.
