Fantastic

It's Tim Curry reading the most famous Christmas story of all time. What really needs to be said other than it's fantastic?

The wonderful voice of Tim Curry.

We all know the story well and while i listen to Mr. Curry speaking and living the story í forget all other things.
And the book holds a scene i did not know about and really answers a curious question.

What's to complain about, it's free!

Everyone knows the story of A Christmas Carol, but I admit I had never read the original. Most of the story I knew came from Mickey's Christmas Carol or Scrooged. I was a little surprised at how effective, and sometimes scary, the story was. I was also pleasantly surprised that even though the themes and memes of the story have been run into the ground by now, they didn't seem at all cliched upon listening to the original (apparently, listen to Dickens has me using the word 'upon').

Tim Curry does a great job. Even though he uses essentially the same voice for most of the characters, a few of them, particularly Marley's ghost and the Ghost of Christmas Past, were extremely effective.

Tim Curry Was Fantastic!

I have always loved this story. It's a true classic! But listening to Tim Curry narrate it just made it that much better. This is absolutely worth the money! I will be listening to it again next Christmas!

Yes, I would say that I do. He is a remarkable storyteller and did the story justice.

I particularly enjoyed his Ebenezer Scrooge. It was quite good.

What does Tim Curry bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Tim Curry's amazing voice work is what made this book such an incredible read. It was almost as if I were sitting in the same room with him, listening to him bring the characters to life.

Any additional comments?

Although I have seen various movies of this classic Christmas tale, I'd never actually read it before and thought that I should. It was an excellent story. There are moments when I found myself pulling for Scrooge as he realizes the errors of a life barely lived. I'll definitely read this again next year!

Tim Curry's voice is perfect for this tale. His performance is also wonderful, it is so nice to drink hot chocolate in front of a winter fire.
