Excellent presentation

Where does A Darkness at Sethanon rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

This is one of the best I have listened too.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Nicholas did an excellent job at developing several of the characters.

What about Nicholas Guy Smith’s performance did you like?

Nicholas was outstanding in his reading of the books. Each character had a distinctive voice and his presentation was very engaging and made you wanting to listen to more.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I really enjoyed these books when they came out. I kept watching for them to come out in an audio book. I was really glad when they did. I listened to all four in a row and really enjoyed them Nicholas did an outstanding job with these books.

Any additional comments?

If you enjoyed the series in print, you will really enjoy how Nicholas delivers these books in audio.

Only one complaint

I own every book in all the series Mr. Feist has written and this is one of my very favorites. Only complaint I have with these books is the narrator, Nicholas Guy Smith. I found myself correcting his pronunciation of several names every time he said them. And I have always cringed when people add “r”’s to words: there is no r in the was “saw”and only one in “drawing”. These things really distracted me but the story is phenomenal-one of my all time favorites. I understand further books have a different narrator so I will purchase them here as I sadly would not have had Mr. Smith been kept on.

Fun Series

This is my favorite fantasy novel series. Raymond Feist weaves an engaging and fun story without getting too bogged down in details. I also really appreciate that the book is mostly clean since some fantasy novels (think Game of Thrones) can sometimes devolve too much. This is just good fun.

Favorite book so far in the Magician Series.

This is my favorite of all fantasy books, the imagination shown in the creation of his realm is fantastic. I have read this book at least 7 times, and each time I get more from the story. I highly recommend if you like Epic Fantasy to read this series.

Great Book!

Its to bad this narrator is not used in any of the following Feist books in the Rift War Cycle. I really dislike narrator changes after you get used to one and it usually discourages me from buying the next, just on that alone.

Great battle

Good battles But there are better cities and/or castles make the inner buildings in the city be taller then the outer ones like steps, because enemy archers can’t shoot the archers on the top buildings easily, but the defenders can shoot down and the enemy’s can not hide.
Star walls are also better because round ones you have to shoot down but star walls your ally can help you if someone climbs up.
