Irritating heroine ruined the story

The story was half interesting and had a potential to be great but unfortunately the author used misunderstandings as the basis for relationships between H and h.
Heroine villainized the hero and has constant monologues in her head describing his villainous intentions and than she paraphrases it and starts again and it went on and on.... She ruined the story for me.
Rexanne Becnel can create excellent historical settings and love parts were pretty hot but unfortunately her heroine was too shrewish and unlikable.....

Over all this was pretty good...

Any additional comments?

This story was pretty good, however, I didn't like the female character at all...she was a total snot!!! I found it hard to believe that someone who grew up in a convent had so much to argue about and refused to take being told what to do under any circumstances...that part got old. I gave the performance only three stars because her male voices were not very good. They really needed work. Would I recommend this book...I don't think so..there are too many others that are better.

Seemingly endless

Beyond boring. Reached chapter six with no gain of anything from the writing. Previously read another by this author that had plot & substance, so gave this a chance. Last reviewer 4 yrs. ago gives accurate description of how it it is boring if you desire more details. Might try others by author.
