An oak tree that is completely covered in moss can be discovered on the banks of the North Santee River. This tree is located in the area. The hopes and aspirations of three young girls were commemorated by this tree at one time. In order to ensure their safety, they glued their most important aspirations onto ribbons and placed them in the trunk of the tree. What was most significant among these hopes was the expectation that they would remain friends for the entirety of eternity, irrespective of the circumstances.
While Sara Landon is channeling The Council, Mike Dooley also has a conversation with her. This conversation takes place within the backdrop of this captivating novel. He claims that the Council is the source of all wisdom. One of the concerns that the Council addresses is, "To what extent are we able to transcend the illusions of life without destroying the fabric of our adventure?" The Council offers answers to questions that are both difficult and wide-ranging. Putting it another way, the question "Are there other planetary beings physically among us?" is asked with an incredible level of precision.
