He is a good male voice! SUCK AS A WOMEN'S VOICE... Get a female for the women's voices..

Another Great read

This is another great read in the series,, I would suggest reading them in order, but all are stand-alone , I have one more to read to finish the series , and am so looking forward to it ! this is a True Binge series !!!

Ho hum

To much talking and describing angsting all over the place. Just not enough action to keep my interest. Even fast forwarded to no avail.

Yes! Excellent immersion into a unique and interesting world.

I liked the two main characters; I could feel the tension and chemistry between them building throughout.

Gift for the King

A Gift for the King is a creative story that includes the kidnapping of human females and mated to different species from other worlds. Female humans being sold as slaves, is something that is approved of because these species females cannot become pregnant and it is only humans that can provide reproduction.
As Lana is gifted to the king, her attempts of escape puts her in danger from the kings ultimate enemy. Once she realizes the danger she is in and how much trouble she has caused, she wonders if she'll ever see her king again.
Albeit I loved the interesting story line and creativity, the one thing that seemed to come up repeatedly in this book was "the spanking". The romance scene's were ok, but the spankings were never sensual and there was no other means of punishment with made the spanking scene's irritating for me, and also felt like a routine in ever chapter.

Grab and snatch

This story was fun and panty wetting. I'd listen to it again.
Now as to the narrative... This would have been a lot better with a female voice for the female parts. The narrator just didn't do a very good job with the feminine voices. Since it's primarily from the female point of view, it was a bit off putting.

Not for me!

While I don't mind a decent BDSM type story, this audiobook was really not what I expected. The whole focus of this story seemed to be spanking! There seemed to be almost glorifying of punishment as a gleeful activity without any real reason. I didn't care for this audiobook and also the narration was in some affected accent that was just horrible!

A Gift for the King is an incredible adventure that left me wanting more. Boy did the pages sizzle. If you’re into spankings, this audiobook is for you.

It Could have been soooooo much better!

Lana is a college student on vacation in Mexico when she gets kidnapped by an alien slave trader. Lana looks just like the long lost love of king Dante and is given to the king as a sex slave. The king turns out to not be an alien but an ex Roman gladiator, who was changed and has been ruling the alien world where humans have no status. But the female slaves are the mothers of some or most of the aliens? Oh, and there is a secret sect of human magic users? These parts were not well developed.
The punishment in this story is not really sexy. King Dante brands her, spanks her and employs humiliation. Basically the BDSM in this book seems trite and artificial. For example, it is apparently just part of the alien culture not a personal need or persuasion. Furthermore, Lana doesn't like pain or humiliation but yet gets turned on by spanking. Later when Dante grabs her roughly by the back of the neck she freaks out and runs in to the woods of the alien woods. This aspect of the book did not further the story nor did it aid with the character development.
I could have looked past all of the above issues if the characters had been compelling. If like me you like strong, not to mention intelligent, female characters this book is not for you. Lana is basically a victim through the whole book. King Dante is inconsistent and we don't get his POV. He "falls" in love with Lana because she looks like Julia. There just wasn't much to connect to with ither.
The narrator wasn't bad. His pace and inflection were good but the voice he gave to King Dante would have been better assigned to an elderly English gentleman.
