About this listen

Anne Norris moved to Savannah, Georgia, for a fresh start. Now her pirate-tour business is flagging, and paying the rent requires more than wishful thinking. When she discovers evidence of a shipwreck off the coast of Tybee Island, she knows it could be just the boon she needs to stay afloat. She takes her findings to local museum director Carter Hale for confirmation, but she runs after a disastrous first meeting.

Carter has been searching for the location of the wreck detailed in the worn pages of an 18th-century diary, the discovery of which could open the door to his dream job at a prestigious museum. But convincing Anne to help him fill in the missing pieces of the puzzle is no easy task. And working with Carter means that Anne will have to do the one thing she swore she'd never do again: trust a man.

Finding a monetary backer and sticking with a search that's turning up nothing will take all their dedication - and every secret they've tried to hide. If they can find the lost ship, they may discover a treasure worth more than all the pirate gold in the world - love.

Treasure is Trouble

I loved this book! I was drawn into the story from the very beginning and listened to it all in one day.
Filled with hidden gems of wisdom this story stays with you long after the recording ends.
Once again, Amy Melissa Bentley does a marvelous narration.

A christian treasure hunter romance

Overall rating:4.5 stars

My likes and thoughts about this book:

• Anne was traumatized by being betrayed and set up by a past boyfriend. She was convicted of a felony of aiding in environmental espionage. This experience colored the way she looked at life.
• Anne distrusted everyone and did not like being around people. But this was a dichotomy, because she was a tour guide for her Rum Runner Tours business.
• I liked that the author switched between the journal of Rebecca from the past and the present day quest for the shipwreck of the Catherine in the present day.
• The story made me ask myself these questions: Do we let one event in our life define us? Do we accept the Lord's grace? Will we forgive ourself?
• Moore does an amazing job with her dialogues between her characters.
• The writer's words painted clear pictures that helped me to visualize the scenes and the emotions of the characters.
• This book is clean and very religious. I enjoyed that fact, but others may not.
• This was an enjoyable listen/read and the narrator was amazing. Amy Melissa Bentley effortlessly switched between the different character voices and brought this story to life.
