One of my all time favorites as a child!

A great quaint and enchanting story narrated brilliantly.

A little girl goes from riches to rags and back again. The book is a lovely story of a little girl Sarah crew's journey through misfortune and out the other side again with a sprinkle of childlike stardust.

Excellent!

This is a favorite tale of mine, one of my 'keepers' - which I would read over and over, and now I can enjoy it even more, as I can do chores while listening.
The story is of course wonderful; Ms Burnett had such a talent! And the narration was perfect - all the different characters instantly recognized as each was voiced. ... I give this production two thumbs - and all eight fingers! - up!!

Outstanding!

Excellent narration of this timeless classic about a young girl, cruel headmistress and enduring values of love and friendship. All characterizations were superbly performed by the narrator.

For little princesses everywhere

Take one child, with a warm heart, dip it in trouble and heartbreak but make it survive and add a dash of happy ending.
This seems the recipe of most of Frances Hodgson Burnetts books, but they are so lovely.

I would heartily recommend any of these books to any parent who want a good book to read for their child, and specially to girls.

One of my altime favorites!

What did you like best about this story?

One of my childhood favorites, this book still has never disappointed me even as an adult. Each time I open its pages, I get to know it better and it's characters become a little dearer. The authors precocious description of one little girl's strength of character and belief in goodness is beautiful and leaves you better for having been in its company. The story has some valuable truths that each of us can learn from and use in our lives, but that seem to have been forgotten in today's world. A tale of kindness, self-respect, and the power to be a good person despite the actions of those around you. It will be one you will want to come back to again and want to share with your children and friends.

Favorite book from childhood/Excellent narration.

I highly recommend this book to anyone, but especially children of between eight and 12 years old. I am currently sharing this with my 9 yr old granddaughter and we're enjoying it together and finding it bringing back many fond memories. This book is one that you can become completely lost in. Be prepared to experience a myriad of emotions, as any well written book does. 💕
I listened to several audio samples & read reviews before selecting this book. I am very impressed with the excellent narration.
Enjoy this amazing book, hopefully with a loved one.

Beautiful story, not sobeautiful narration

A Little Princess is one of my favourite children's stories. However, quite frankly,
Vanessa Maroney was a rather irritating narrator. Her "children's voice" was grating!
