Publisher's summary
Now an original series starring Rosamund Pike as Moiraine!
Since its debut in 1990, The Wheel of Time® by Robert Jordan has captivated millions of readers and listeners around the globe with its scope, originality, and compelling characters.
The Wheel of Time turns and Ages come and go, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth returns again. In the Third Age, an Age of Prophecy, the World and Time themselves hang in the balance. What was, what will be, and what is, may yet fall under the Shadow.
The seals of Shayol Ghul are weak now, and the Dark One reaches out. The Shadow is rising to cover humankind.
In Tar Valon, Min sees portents of hideous doom. Will the White Tower itself be broken?
In the Two Rivers, the Whitecloaks ride in pursuit of a man with golden eyes, and in pursuit of the Dragon Reborn.
In Cantorin, among the Sea Folk, High Lady Suroth plans the return of the Seanchan armies to the mainland.
In the Stone of Tear, the Lord Dragon considers his next move. It will be something no one expects, not the Black Ajah, not Tairen nobles, not Aes Sedai, not Egwene or Elayne or Nynaeve.
Against the Shadow rising stands the Dragon Reborn....

It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Long ago the gods chose a great hero to act as their agent in the mortal world and to stand against the demonic spawn of Chaos. The gods gifted their champion, Daemron, with three magical Talismans: a sword, a ring, and a crown. But the awesome power at his command corrupted Daemron, turning him from savior to destroyer. Filled with pride, he dared to challenge the gods themselves. Siding with the Chaos spawn, Daemron waged a titanic battle against the Immortals. In the end, Daemron was defeated, the Talismans were lost, and Chaos was sealed off behind the Legacy - a magical barrier the gods sacrificed themselves to create.

Their peace was a fragile thing, but it had endured for seven years, mostly because the people of Darassus and the king of the Naor hordes believed his doom was foretold upon the edge of the great sword hung in the hall of champions. Unruly Naor clans might raid across the border, but the king himself would never lead his people to war so long as the blade remained in the hands of his enemies. But when squire Elenai’s aging uncovers evidence that the sword in their hall is a forgery, she’s forced to flee Darassus for her life, her only ally the reckless, disillusioned Kyrkenall.

Story
Their peace was a fragile thing, but it had endured for seven years, mostly because the people of Darassus and the king of the Naor hordes believed his doom was foretold upon the edge of the great sword hung in the hall of champions. Unruly Naor clans might raid across the border, but the king himself would never lead his people to war so long as the blade remained in the hands of his enemies. But when squire Elenai’s aging uncovers evidence that the sword in their hall is a forgery, she’s forced to flee Darassus for her life, her only ally the reckless, disillusioned Kyrkenall.

Story
In a land haunted by the legacy of dead dragons, Rowen Locke has been many things: orphan, gravedigger, mercenary. All he ever wanted was to become a Knight of Crane and wield a kingsteel sword against the kind of grown horrors his childhood knows all too well. But that dream crumbled - replaced by a new nightmare. War is overrunning the realms, an unprecedented duel of desire and revenge, steel and sorcery. And for one disgraced man who would be a knight, in a world where no one is blameless, the time has come to decide which side he's on.

Brandon Sanderson really brings the book to life
Would you listen to A Memory of Light again? Why?
No. I simply cannot condone a book that encourages enslavement of women. The violence made me sick. I only continued to read the series because I thought this would be resolved and the error of their ways would be pointed out. It was not.
Any additional comments?
The writing style is beautiful. I love listening to the narrators. If female torture does not bother you then there are many things to love here.

A Memory of Light
Any additional comments?
I thought when I was listening to the 13th book, I was listening to the end of the series. I got to the end of the book and was shocked that that was how the series ended. I found out, with great relief that there was another book being edited and eagerly looked forward to its release. I was not disappointed! Brandon Sanderson is a master and did a superb job of finishing Robert Jordan's work. What a finish!

Great conclusion to the series
What made the experience of listening to A Memory of Light the most enjoyable?
Reaching a conclusion to a series like the "Wheel of Time" is wonderful. The entire set of stories was well crafted and the performances were excellent. Having a cast that you can follow throught all their changes and evolutions to a good ending is worth the wait.
What other book might you compare A Memory of Light to and why?
The "Game of Thrones" is similar but I consider the "Wheel of Time" series more interesting as there is a set of characters through the entire series.
What about Michael Kramer and Kate Reading ’s performance did you like?
Michael and Kate did an excellent performance making a very long series interesting and soemthing you could enjoy more than once.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
As one setting would have taken more than an entire day it was consumed as quickly as possible.

What An Incredible Story
I enjoyed this book so much, you really got to see who the main characters were and their personalities There was so much detail and build up of each story, and the roles each character played.,bsolutely beautifully. I had a very hard time pulling myself away from this book, it was like an addiction, every chance I got I had to see where the story was heading and with which character. The ending was not expected and I'm not going to say anything else, just read the book. BRAVO to Robert Jordan for giving us a fantastic series, and my hat is off to Brandon Sanderson for taking on the task of finishing off a wonderful series and making us all hold our breath for the grand finish!

female narrator is cringe worthy
i could do without the female narrator . she over pronounces every letter in every word. and her character voices are awful. its like night and day when the male narrator comes on. She almost made it unbearable.
