I enjoyed the narrator and the story. This book makes you think about all the prejudices our country has had, and still has and how we have justified them. So good!

The love story

The story and bad interpretation of the Bible and justification of slavery . The self-righteous attitude of the southerners.

Heartwarming

I found myself not wanting to stop the story (I listen on audible). It kept me intrigued. The narrator’s were good and didn’t have me wondering off . The story has all the emotions. Definitely recommend!

Outstanding plot & character development

This was very well written and performed on this audiobook. I highly recommend this. The author is new but hit it out of the park with this book.

Captivating!

This historical story kept me enthralled and wanting more. The suspense of the story won't let you leave the story for too long. It is so well written, you can imagine the scenery and characters... you feel as if you're right there in it. I recommend this if you love historical novels.
