Story
In American Marxism, Mark Levin explained how Marxist ideology has invaded our society and culture. In doing so, he exposed the institutions, scholars, and activists leading the revolution. Now, he picks up where he left off: to hold responsible the true malefactors steering our country down the wrong path. Insightful and hard-hitting as ever, Levin proves that since its establishment, the Democrat Party has set out to rewrite history and destroy the foundation of freedom in America.

Story
The problem isn’t that liberal authors present their opinions or interpretations of history from an obvious left-wing bias. Students learn, for example, that the Founding Fathers were elitists who drafted the Constitution in order to protect their own economic interests; that Lincoln issued the Emancipation Proclamation only because he needed black soldiers; that racist groups such as the KKK represented our society in the early twentieth century.

For much of his life, historian Howard Zinn chronicled American history from the bottom up, throwing out the official version taught in schools - with its emphasis on great men in high places - to focus on the street, the home, and the workplace. Known for its lively, clear prose as well as its scholarly research, A People's History of the United States is the only volume to tell America's story from the point of view of - and in the words of - America's women, factory workers, African-Americans, Native Americans, the working poor, and immigrant laborers.

A sinister cabal of corrupt law enforcement personnel, intelligence agents, and military officials at the highest levels of government plotted to overthrow a president. Story
From Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States to the New York Times' 1619 project, the modern Left views American history through the lens of competing oppressions, replacing the traditional understanding that all Americans are part of a shared journey toward the perfection of universal ideals. Their attacks on the values that built our nation, from the rights to free speech and self-defense to the importance of marriage and faith communities, are insidious because they replace each of them with nothing beyond an increased reliance on the government.

ADHD may be the defining diagnosis of our time. According to the latest data, more than 10 percent of American children (that’s 7.1 million kids) have been diagnosed with ADHD. And the number of stimulant prescriptions for adults in their 30s has shot up nearly threefold since 2012. In recent years, this explosion in demand has combined with other factors to create a widespread stimulant shortage in the US. In the second installment of Backfired, cohosts Leon Neyfakh and Arielle Pardes look at the unintended consequences of the ADHD industry, and trace the surprising path that brought us here.

The ancient Toltecs believed that life, as we perceive it, is a dream. We each live in our own personal dream, and these come together to form the dream of the planet, or the world in which we live. Problems arise when our perception of the dream becomes clouded with negativity, drama, and judgment (of ourselves and others), because it's in these moments of suffering that we have forgotten that we are the architects of our own reality and we have the power to change our dream if we choose.

Experience a bold take on this classic autobiography as it’s performed by Oscar-nominated Laurence Fishburne. In this searing classic autobiography, originally published in 1965, Malcolm X, the Muslim leader, firebrand, and Black empowerment activist, tells the extraordinary story of his life and the growth of the Human Rights movement. His fascinating perspective on the lies and limitations of the American dream and the inherent racism in a society that denies its non-White citizens the opportunity to dream, gives extraordinary insight into the most urgent issues of our own time.

The Antidote is a series of journeys among people who share a single, surprising way of thinking about life. What they have in common is a hunch about human psychology: that it’s our constant effort to eliminate the negative that causes us to feel so anxious, insecure, and unhappy. And that there is an alternative "negative path" to happiness and success that involves embracing the things we spend our lives trying to avoid.

Story
In the wake of Napoleon's defeat in 1814, the globalists of the day (mostly monarchs) sought to create a governing arrangement for Europe. Within forty years, three of the major participants were at war with each other. After World War I, they tried again at Versailles, this time even more aggressively changing boundaries of nations and moving populations. That attempt only lasted twenty years before another major war between the participants. Yet again, after World War II, globalists used the threat of the atomic bomb to try to form an international government with the United Nations.

It created long-lasting aftershocks which travelled far beyond its geographical borders. How did it happen? What were the sequence of events that led, following the shocking upheaval of the old Romanov order, to a fierce and violent rivalry between a variety of revolutionary factions and the ultimate victory of the Bolsheviks?

Easy to listen to, great to hear.
The narrator does an amazing job of keeping even stride and bringing emphasis where needed. I am very happy I made this purchase and look forward to both of this books sequels being translated to audio book, hopefully by the same narrator.

Fantastic Story about America
This book from start to finish was filled with great accounts of American ambition, innovation, faith, determination, and hope that drives this country forward. The authors were wonderful in their vision create an accurate portrayal of American events showing both America's faults and its greatest achievements. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys history. It is a long book, but well worth the time. The narrator keeps you listening and the stories are not dull because the authors do not drown you with names and dates every other sentence. If you have the time and truly want to learn about American history than look no further.

Finally a Counter balance
What did you love best about A Patriot's History of the United States?
A history that counterbalances the perpetually "America is bad" histories you usually read. There are always two sides to any coin and if you are looking for a way to have a balanced view of history this book is a must read.
What did you like best about this story?
The WW II piece about the turn around of the aircraft carrier Yorktown. 2 week repair completed in 48 hours by a group of pissed off Americans that got the job done faster than anyone thought possible.

The American History I did not learn in School
This was my summer listening book. There are a lot of hours of relevant interesting perspective of the United States. It is the history I did not learn in school given the liberal biasing I was taught. This book had me in tears as it covered Sept 11th...This book made me proud to be an American. Biased, yes but we need this book to counter the other biased history books out there. Well spoken, well covered, well done!

narration ruins this book
The history of the united states should be told with passion. This book was well written the parts I could get through anyway.
Maybe a history book should be a monotone based on how little I got through I hesitated to review it.
What changed my mind was the hope that one day I could read a great general history of the USA eventually.
This book is the only book I have ever tried to read when I can't blame the narrator for bad narration.

A Lot of Good Information
I A Patriot's History of the United States. However, the little bit about the founding of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) was definately biased to direct opinion against the church. I'm skeptical about what other biases may have skewed the telling of Schweikart and Allen's view of history. I'm also curious how American Indians (or Native American's if you prefer; neither is technically correct) would view the historical accounts related. A Lakota friend of mine told me he views the Caucasion view of history with the question "maybe."
I also want to make it clear that I have no hard feelings against Schweikart and Allen for their view of Mormons. In The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ, Jesus said he would do a marvelous work and a wonder--referring to The Book of Mormon--but there would be those who don't believe it (3rd Nephi 21:9; Isaiah 29:14, KJV). I believe the vast majority of people would accept The Book of Mormon if they would let go of their biases, read it and ask God if it's truly His word. Clearly the authors haven't done that yet but there's still time.

Important Book
Appreciated the US History teacher who recommended this book! The book reminds me (my birthdate 1/6/1966) how great our nation has been through 2007. Not perfect. GREAT! Also gives me peace of mind that history does repeat itself. Many think our current President (Biden) is a “challenge.” Read this book and the reader will see there have been other “challenges” our nation has overcome!
Would like to have Larry Schweikart and Michael Allen write the next one. Book is well worth the time! Great book!
