Publisher's summary
"I'm the sweat pooling between your shoulder blades, the sheets tangled among your calves, the tongue at your collarbone, and the sigh caught between your lips. I am everything you dream about when waking, aching."
I sent that poetic sext to a complete stranger.
And you know what the best part is?
He sent one back.
This is the story of what happens when a spark ignites and stars collapse. When words are heartbeats and poetry is a promise.
This is Sonnet Cole's story, and it's just the beginning.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. Story
Obituary writer Nadine Barbault doesn’t mind being called “Lady Death”. It suits the ice queen persona she’s cultivated to survive the fast-paced Toronto Herald. So when Nadine learns that famous (and reclusive) author Dot Voline has died, she doesn’t hesitate to run the obituary…only to discover that Dot is very much alive. Nadine’s screw-up has brought Wesley Chen of the rival Spear no end of joy—she’s been a thorn in his extremely ambitious side for years. But the renewed interest in Dot also surfaced chatter about a mysterious past scandal.

Story
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

On a serene night in 1953, Sally Mason, a dedicated wife and mother of two, drives a twisting road on her way home from night school. Suddenly, a mysterious bluish-white light descends over the road. Terrified, Sally slams on the brakes. After a flash of bright light nearly blinds her, she passes out, awakening to the persistent knock of a police officer on her car window. When she sees the officer and remembers her frightening experience, she screams and faints, and is rushed to the hospital.

So so sweet and nice
Swooooon....
This book was so beautiful and I really love it. I had been looking for sweet romance that made me smile and swoon and this book was really perfect.
I was so smitten with Hunter and Soni the way the start their relationship and how Hunter want to do things perfect to make it work was everything, he is soooo awesome.
All the characters in the book are very easy to like and all of them were a great addition to the story.
This book also has it's angsty moments and some parts were I was cursing and scolding to some of the characters because of some silly decisions they made and how they behave. I was like " jeez don't do it please just don't" but of course they wouldn't listen to me Lol.
I have many favorite parts in this book that I can't put here in order to make it spoil free.
The narrator was really good is my first time listening to her I like the pace and sound of her voice and the way she portray the emotions is really good.

Sweet
Aw. So many sappy sap and sweet moments with mostly little angst. I read this when I wanted something easygoing and light, so I enjoyed it for that. Hell, it was so easygoing in some instances it bordered on real-life boring, which actually worked for me. It was like sitting around with freinds and family and just being a little silly and a lot familiar and comforting.
On another note, Sonny was kinda shallow in her brain, but on purpose, because it's easier that way considering her greatest role model's life choices. She has issues as a result, and don't we all for pretty much similar reasons?
Even though she's slutty, she's among the few fairly likeable promiscuous characters (male or female) I've read recently. She's slutty because that's who she is (you know, until she finds 'the one', though she's initially skeptical about that ever being a thing for her), as opposed to female characters who act that way to please others.
I didn't much sympathize with her in the last conflict or anywhere else in the book except with her sister, but thankfully things ended well despite her brushing aside some vitally obvious things. I can't say she grew up exactly, since she didn't seem to reach any important conclusions or epiphanies on her own, but she did move past her own stupidity and get on with things. Good on you, Sonet (and I must mention what an interesting and unique name she has).

Loved it
A Soul Full of Stars was one of the best books I've had the pleasure of reading or in this case listening to as it was the audible version. This novel was the perfect blend of humor, friendship and romance. Bree Lauren was able to capture so much emotion in this story and was able to make the characters so very relatable and likable that you could not help but love it all.
This is Sonnet (OMG... I just loved that name) or as her friends call her Sunny's story and Bree Lauren took us on an incredible journey with her. Sunny was so full of life and energy, it was fun reading about her.
The sext poems were so unique and a marvelous addition to the story. There were so many amazing lyrics and poems throughout the novel and I loved them all.
The audible version of this novel was narrated by Leslie Gray Robbins and she did an amazing job of bringing Sonny to life. You were able to feel Sonny's energy while listening to the story.
For a debut novel this book was phenomenal. It was engrossing and will have you hooked until the end. I would highly recommend it to all lovers of contemporary romance.

A fun romance
This was the story of Hunter and Sonnet. Sonnet begins texting Hunter who she has only met once and she doesn’t remember which begins their romance. I would have liked to see more of the romance developing thru the texting and less about the Chef who seemed to add little to the story. Overall this was a really cute story and the narration was good. Had some angst and there were many times I wanted to scream at Sonny but Hunter was sweet and the story progressed fairly quickly. It has a beautiful ending.
I received this audio book in exchange for an honest review.
