Inspirational Novella

I enjoyed the second book of the "Emma Peterson" series more than the first one. This story picked up shortly after the first one ended. Emma and Stephen got married, but Stephen has been asked to leave his family to return to England to inspire others in his faith. While he was gone, Emma faced many of the obstacles that pioneers faced in the days of old. I admired Emma's spirit and her growth. I liked her character arc. I was drawn into the hardships that she faced. Linda Chism's narration was fine, and her performance improved as the story progressed. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Relentless trials on the Utah frontier!

In Linda Chism's "A Test of Faith: The Sequel to That Gentile Girl," Emma Peterson faces relentless trials on the Utah frontier while her husband, Stephen, confronts a perilous journey. Chism's writing and narration, performed by the author herself, beautifully capture the resilience of love in the harshest of circumstances. A compelling tale of courage and endurance, highly recommended for fans of historical fiction.

Love and Faith

A story of faith, love, sadness and strength. The trials and triumphs of pioneers always amazes me! This short story is told beautifully of a woman early in the USA’s growth. Recited are her struggles faith, her strength to keep on moving forward and her love of those around her.
Waiting to hear the next chapter!
