Pointless title, joke of villians, and pathetic.

I am not all a big Molly Harper fan. But this book has the serious feel of being phoned in... All the normal "Harper" elements were present to a good book. But first the entire "Accidental Sire" title and self help book was ill planned, Megan was poorly portrayed and prevented from attempting to be a Sire. I know it is accidental sire, but the entire concept was poorly used or expressed. So I felt the entire theme of the plot was lost. Add to that the joke of villians and conflict. Since when is a lone human able to take out a team of specially train strike team vampires. Overall I felt that this could have been a good book if Harper had given the plot, characters, and theme more thought. In other words she tried to play off our sympathy over a " Foster kid" character, to hide a poorly concieved plot.

What's Not to Love About This Book?

Every time I declare a Molly Harper book my favorite, she writes another one! This book had me looking like a loon, driving and laughing out loud in an otherwise empty car. Harper KNOWS how to turn a phrase for sure. On this one the story line is not as strong as some of her others, it helps the characters develop...and that was more than ok with me. I highly recommend this book!

Molly Harper does it again

I just hope Molly Harper never runs out of characters and material and Amanda keeps narrating. I go back, to listen to the stories over and over again and still have moments of coffee shooting out my nose, laughter.

Great fun, as always!

Entertaining stories, characters you love, and terrific, witty dialogue. Every one of these is a winner and while they can be read as standalones, it is more fun to read them in order. Not necessary, though—I found this series by accident through an Audible sale and now have 10 of them. Only the last three have been read in order of publication and that has made it more fun, but I also greatly enjoyed them early on before I realized how much I would like the characters and enjoy seeing cameo performances in later novels. However you do it, just do it. They’re worth it.

Thank god this wasn't the first book I listened to

Slight spoiler: The author decided that the climax would be the main character tied to a chair attempting to manipulate a child phone, and it didn't matter how many incredibly stupid, counter-intuitive, and completely out of character decisions the main character had to make in the last two hours of listening, that was what was going to happen. I am thankful that this wasn't the first one of the series I listened to, other wise, I would have missed Jane, Libby, Andrea, Nola, Gigi, Dick and all the rest, because there is no way I would have continued the series given how infuriating Megan's actions were.

Wow, some crazy vampire scientists

This is Ben and Megan's story and how they became vampires. Very special and unusual vampires. You still continue seeing characters from the other books in this series.
