Publisher's summary
When terrorists attack Boston, Louis Massina races against time to save the city with a high-tech counteroffensive....
On Easter Sunday morning, the city of Boston is struck by a widespread and coordinated series of terrorist attacks: an explosion in the T, a suicide bomber at Back Bay Police Station, and heavily armed gunmen taking hostages at the Patriot Hotel.
For robotics innovator Louis Massina, aka the Puppet Master, this is far more personal than a savage act of political terrorism. Boston is his city - and one of his employees, Chelsea Goodman, is among the hostages facing certain death. As Chelsea fights from the inside, Massina leads his team of tech geniuses at Smart Metal to deploy every bot, drone, and cyber weapon at their disposal to defeat the fanatics and save his city and friend.
That's step one. Step two: find the twisted mastermind behind the attacks and make him pay.

Days before the July Fourth holiday and the dedication of One World Trade Center at Ground Zero, an incident aboard a commercial jet flying over the Atlantic Ocean reminds everyone that vigilance is not a task to be taken lightly. But for iconoclastic NYPD detective Jeremy Fisk, it may also be a signal that there is much more to this case than the easy answer of this being just the work of another lone terrorist. Fisk suspects that the event might also be a warning sign that another scheme has been set in motion.

A terrorist bomb explodes during a South Korean celebration of the anniversary of the election of its first president. Alarms are raised in Washington. No one is claiming responsibility. It was a strong face, certainly—the eyes pale grey and very cold, the mouth was hard, the dark hair-grey-streaked now—still fell in the authentic comma over the forehead. This is how John Pearson reacted to his first encounter with the real James Bond, an encounter probably unique in the annals of thriller writing. He went on to write the bestselling authorized biography of Ian Fleming. At the time, like most of the world he assumed that James Bond was nothing more than a character in Fleming's highly charged imagination.

Interesting Read
Could of had more action as a Dale Brown book does. The characters were all likable. Except Chelsea had irritated me quit often. Her “ I am the only one who can do this” attitude. When most of the time she was more a problem then an asset. All an all worth it.

Worst narration ever for an Audible book
This book was almost unlistenable and impossible to follow because of the awful narration. I have been an Audible consumer for many years and hundreds of books and this is the only one I have ever returned because the narration was so bad.
The book itself was ok, not the best by Brown/DeFelice but it became hard to separate the story from the distraction of the narration

Compared to other books of this nature this felt like a b-rated story. I'm not sure if it was the way the story was written or if it was the way the narrator was telling the story but I finally gave up listening as it just wasn't enjoyable enough to continue.
