About this listen
The Alexandre Dumas Collection, with its deep roots in French history, sheds light on the innate sense of honor, duty, responsibility, and love felt by those who lived during the time. In the first story, The Count of Monte Cristo, you will be drawn into the adventures that a formerly imprisoned sailor endures in search of fortune and revenge, only to find mercy, forgiveness, and love at the end of his journey.
The Three Musketeers, the second story, is rife with friendship, loyalty, duels for honor, and position. Ultimately, the story’s protagonist is faced with the harsh reality of the high cost of that which he so laboriously and painstakingly sought after. Listen as the author takes you on a historical journey to a time when men fought to the death for what they believed in, when executions were a public event, and jewels were traded for secrets!
Join us for a reading of The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers, and where you will be enchanted by the adventure, danger, and vengeance that these two tales depict. The Alexandre Dumas Collection is certainly worthy of its world-renowned status as historical fiction and "keep you on the edge of your seat" adventures.

For the first time ever, the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society has produced an audio recording of all of Lovecraft's stories. These are not dramatizations like our Dark Adventure Radio Theatre - rather, this is an audiobook of the original stories, in all-new, never-before-heard recordings made by the HPLHS' own Andrew Leman and Sean Branney exclusively for this collection. This collection spans his entire career from his earliest surviving works of childhood to stories completed shortly before his death. All tales include original music by HPLHS composer Troy Sterling Nies.

Story
Renowned poet and critic Clive James presents the crowning achievement of his career: a monumental translation into English verse of Dante’s The Divine Comedy. The Divine Comedy is the precursor of modern literature, and this translation - decades in the making - gives us the entire epic as a single, coherent and compulsively listenable lyric poem. Written in the early 14th century and completed in 1321, the year of Dante’s death, The Divine Comedy is perhaps the greatest work of epic poetry ever composed.

Story
Bradbury's Mars is a place of hope, dreams, and metaphor - of crystal pillars and fossil seas - where a fine dust settles on the great, empty cities of a silently destroyed civilization. It is here the invaders have come to despoil and commercialize, to grow and to learn - first a trickle, then a torrent, rushing from a world with no future toward a promise of tomorrow. The Earthman conquers Mars...and then is conquered by it, lulled by dangerous lies of comfort and familiarity, and enchanted by the lingering glamour of an ancient, mysterious native race.

So what would Al Gore choose if he had a book club? Gore named Stendhal's The Red and the Black, a 19th century classic chock full of adultery, betrayal, and moral vacuity, as his favorite book on a recent broadcast of Oprah. It's a bit shocking of a choice, given his wife and running mate's position on clean, wholesome literature. Listen and decide for yourself the merit of this presidential pick.

The story of France from the Renaissance to the 19th century, as Dumas vibrantly retold it in his numerous enormously popular novels, has long been absent one vital, richly historical era: the Age of Napoleon. Great Collection!
This audiobook, Alexandre Dumas Collection, offers a thrilling escape into tales of bravery, loyalty, and revenge, set against a backdrop of French history. In The Count of Monte Cristo you'll follow the journey of a wronged sailor who rises from despair to uncover a fortune, only to discover that true power lies in forgiveness. In The Three Musketeers, you get to hear about the story of friendship and honor that are tested with duels and deadly schemes. Dumas’ stories capture the drama and intrigue of a world where men fought for their beliefs and risked everything. Really fun listen!

Adventure, Hope, Justice and Revenge!
The Count of Monte Cristo is perhaps my favorite story of all time! I love the depth of this novel and I am a sucker for prison escape stories. I just acquired this audiobook for my collection and couldn't be more satisfied. I have yet to read or listen to "The Three Musketeers" but I am eager to get to it. These package deals are a great value! The production quality is superb and I really enjoy the narration. 10/10 would recommend this!

A Timeless Adventure Brought to Life!
Listening to The Alexandre Dumas Collection was an absolute pleasure. The Count of Monte Cristo and The Three Musketeers are both legendary tales filled with adventure, honor, and intrigue, and this audiobook brings them to life beautifully.
The narration is engaging, making it easy to get lost in the world of Edmond Dantès’ quest for justice and the camaraderie of Athos, Porthos, Aramis, and D’Artagnan. Dumas’ masterful storytelling is packed with emotion, suspense, and historical depth, and hearing it aloud makes the experience even more immersive.
If you love classic literature, gripping plots, and rich historical settings, this collection is a must-listen. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys epic adventures and timeless themes of loyalty, revenge, and redemption!

Really good collection!
This collection definitely did not disappoint! I was really impressed with the length as it gave me something good I could listen to at work and on my commute. I particularly liked the 3 Musketeers as this is a classic but I never knew all of the ins and outs of just how good this book was until now.

Excellent All Around: Timeless Tales of Adventure
This superb collection of The Count of Monte Cristo & The Three Musketeers brings together two of Alexandre Dumas’ most beloved works (two of my very, very favorite classics!), immersing listeners in tales of adventure filled with honor, loyalty, revenge, & redemption.
In The Count of Monte Cristo, you’ll follow the gripping adventure of a wrongfully imprisoned man who rises from dark, deep despair to seek justice & ultimately discovers the power of mercy.
The Three Musketeers is a swashbuckling tale of friendship, loyalty, & daring exploits as d'Artagnan & his three comrades navigate duels, schemes, & the intrigues of the French court.
Both truly classic stories take you to a world where courage & conviction are tested against betrayal & ambition.
The incredibly rich narration seems to breathe new life into these timeless classics, making the drama, action, & emotional depth somehow even more engaging. Perfect for fans of historical adventures, this audiobook collection really captures the essence of Dumas’ genius & the enduring appeal of his unforgettable characters.

Phenomenal Classics. Must Listen!
I’ve seen the movies and read most of his books. Dumas adjust characters based on historical contexts very well. The movies are OK, but the originals top any remake. I’ll never understand how they can simply skim over so much good content from these books when filming.
I’m really glad that I picked this version to listen to these classics. The narrator did a great performance for these long works. Dumas would be happy.
