Stunning

Trigger Warning: Self Harm part of the story but really caught me off guard and I needed to take a break). A wonderful story beautifully read.

Sweet & Bitter, a lovely story

A deeply felt, beautifully composed novel about the twists and turns two lives can take once an event sets impulse into action. The story spans decades and intimately examines the lives of our protagonists and their rich interior lives while their external circumstances may appear curtailed or bleak.

Exquisitely narrated, I highly recommend listening to this book. It will carry you away.

Narration only adds to this beautiful story

I love this story, written by wonderful author Nillu Nasser. So, after reading the paperback, I was thrilled to learn that an audiobook was available. Although honestly, I wondered if I'd enjoy the narrated version as much as I did the written prose. Luckily for me, Daki De Alwis' narration only made me love this story more, and allowed the very realistic characters to continue living in my mind and heart.

What an interesting story... a story of love, deceit and forgiveness. Love always prevails even if you think there is no chance, even if the odds are against everything we believe.
It ended with quite a contrast no-one could predict.
